As one of the leading supporters of pediatric cancer research in the United States, Volvo, today praised a similar fundraising approach by Electrolux and TV show host Kelly Ripa to support the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. In 2008, Volvo launched the world's first virtual lemonade stand, www.lemonadestandforlife.com, to support Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), which raises funds to find a cure for pediatric cancer.
